Behind the Journeys

Aquavit is the national spirit of Norway and no trip to the country is complete without at least a taste of this flavoured spirit. We've been having a look into the history and making process of the country's favourite tipple and, importantly, discovering how to drink it Norwegian style. 

It's mid-winter and in the cold and the dark, our thoughts are turning to sunshine and holidays where we can while away leisurely days on tropical beaches, experience awe in verdant, natural landscapes and delight our senses in dazzling cities. 

No trip to Nantes is complete without a slice - or two - of Gâteau Nantais. In this week's blog, we celebrate the city's tastiest treat. 

Opened in 2021, the Muzeum Ostrov lidovych Kroju (the Museum of Folk Costume) is home to the largest private collection of traditional folk costumes in the Czech Republic and a visit here is to take a fascinating journey through Czech and Moravian history and culture. This blog gives a taste of the treasures that await.
